Pierce Brosnan’s wife has had to deal with her fair share of horiffic fat-phobic remarks over the years, but Brosnan has always been her admirer…
Pierce Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Smith have a beautiful relationship. And it’s not your average Hollywood romance either.
The loved-up pair have been together since 1994 when they met at a party in Mexico. Keely was a TV correspondent at the time, and was there to interview Ted Danson, but hit it off with Brosnan instead.
Despite being 10 years younger than him, Keely clearly had a lot in common with Brosnan. “He was captivating,” she told People in 2001 about their meeting.
“Tall, dark, and handsome, everything that everybody would immediately be attracted to,” Keely said.
The feeling was obviously mutual, as Brosnan was also captivated by Keely. She helped him cope with the loss of his wife Cassandra, who died from ovarian cancer not long before.
“Keely has always been kind and compassionate and encouraged me to mourn Cassie,” Pierce told The Sun in an interview about his relationship. Adding: “I think of her all the time. I suppose Keely is my North Star, always looking out for me.”
Their relationship is obviously way more than skin deep, and this is further proved by Brosnan’s reaction to trolls calling Keely out for gaining weight over the years.
Weight is something Brosnan doesn’t think about, and in an interview he even addressed this, saying: “Friends offered her surgery to reduce her weight.” However, he was against the move.
“I strongly love every curve of her body… She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes… And also because she had our 5 children…”
“In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I’m loving her even more that she is my children’s mother,” he continued.
“And I am very proud of her, and I always seek to be worthy of her love.”
Everyone deserves a love like theirs!
