The following movie, Rush Hour 2, came just 3 years after the first movie, which again, made massive profits, reaching $347.3 million.

After the second installment of the franchise, there was a huge gap between the second and third movie.

6 years after, Rush Hour 3 was released, and it did not disappoint.

The third installment came to a whopping total of $258.1 million and had some pretty positive reviews.

Since then, fans came to think that the franchise was done and dusted.

But recently, Rush Hour star Jackie Chan admitted that Rush Hour 4 is in works after appearing at the Red Sea International Film Festival.

“We’re talking about Rush Hour 4 right now,” Chan revealed, Variety reports.

The fourth installment has reportedly been in the works for some time now, with Chris Tucker revealing back in 2018 that a fourth installment was on the cards.

“It’s happening,” Tucker said, IGN reports.

“This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”

Around the same time Tucker made the announcement, Brett Ratner, director of the fourth installment, claimed he would be making the movie, despite producers stating otherwise.

“Brett has been walking around town telling people he’s going to direct a Rush Hour movie because it’s his only way back in,” a studio executive said.

“He’s trying to make believe he’s employable.”

We can’t wait to see Rush Hour 4 hit the big screen.
