Vera Wang has yet again wowed on the red carpet as she made a rare appearance at the DKMS Gala 2022 in New York City.

Vera Wang is one of the most influential fashion designers in history.
But it isn’t her fashion people are talking about at the minute, it’s her age!
She was born in New York City in 1949 to Chinese parents.
Wang first delved into the world of fashion as an editor for Vogue.
Then, she started working for Ralph Lauren from 1987.
She eventually left after 2 years to go and use her talents independently.
Aged forty, the star branched out to launch her very own bridal collection.
Many famous brides have been known to choose Wang’s clothes for their big day.
One of the biggest stars known to opt for a Wang wedding dress is Ariane Grande.
Other celebs who chose the seventy-three-year-old’s brand include Kim Kardashian, Ivanka Trump, and Mariah Carey.
Wang’s designs have been worn by some of the biggest A-listers on the red carpet too…
Michele Obama, Viola Davis and Sofia Vergara are all known to be fans of her evening wear.
Wang has even designed clothes for the Olympics!
She has a long history of designing figure skating outfits for the games.
The star figure skated herself a bit when she was younger!
In 1968, she even competed at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
Wang has previously spoken about how she keeps herself young.
She spoke to the BBC about her experience earlier this year.
“I never thought going way out of my way to preserve youth,” Wang said.
Yet it appears she has somehow succeeded!
“I’ve been asked — what are my secrets?
“And I’ve gotta be really honest,” she admitted.
Wang also credits having a “vodka cocktail at the end of the day” to keeping herself looking her best.
She said this is “because it helps me to transition from a very intense work schedule to a bit of a private life.”
However, fans have still been left completely baffled by Wang’s age in her most recent appearance…

The event was held at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street.
DKMS is an international nonprofit aimed to fighting blood cancers and disorders.
The event’s website says it hopes to “rewrite stories of loss into those of hope and renewal”.
Wang is a regular attendee, and this time she really wowed in her floor-length evening gown.
The red and white dress allowed Wang to show off her arms and back.
The seventy-three-year-old paired her elegant outfit with an edgy pair of block sunglasses.
Who would have expected any less from the queen of fashion?
